Are you sick of little golden stickers on your Harley Parts? You know the one its got those words on it, I can't say it but you all know what I mean. ( If you don't, go back to bed and remember tomorrow when you get up slap yourself and WAKE Up!!! )

Well them little golden stickers flood the world and you just can't find much that's not made in Asia now-a-days.

I live in Australia and we have a large chain of hardware stores that nearly sells 100%  imported rubbish. Its like the large U.S chain and yes we have the greet and meet guy out the front too!  The Small guys are all gone because they just couldn't compete with the cheap prices of the cheap imported rubbish, that the large company's flood the stores with. I mean all these guys call themselves Au or Us company's but all they really are is agents for China. I think if you want to call yourself an Au or Us company then you should by law make your products there! With the exception of the raw materials if your country does not have it then imported is kinda ok. eg.  Alloy the U.s has to import it from Au or PNG.

I went to a local Harley Parts dealer near where I live ( they have a Harley Parts agency / Harley dealership) now they won't fix your Shovel head, Pan, Knuckle or Wla, oh no they can't because they are too hard for them ,they only repair Evo's and up!  They have a super clean workshop, I mean its so clean they removed all the tools..lol...and only have a few bike stands and basic service equipment. Yeap, that's it they don't do any real work there, just the basic shit that my 11 yr old can do and does on his Drag bike and Dirt bike. Except he can do full rebuilds and has done many times lol.

Bullshit I here you US readers say but no it's true we only have half Harley dealers down here where I am.

The true Harley guys can't get dealerships or had them stolen from them by these large company's. But these guys are the ones that do the real work on harleys and I have a list of them.

Now the point I wanted to make is they have a store filled with Harley Parts and Bikes etc, and as I walked around picking things up and looking at them, what's this Shock Horror................Golden stickers dun dun dun dar........yep and you will never guess who's logo was on the front!  I only found a few things made in the US and one was the oil but that probably is a lie too as it probably comes from somewhere else. What made me really laugh was a few dress up parts that are quickly fitted had a nice eagle type logo that said something like 'Made in the U.S.A' on the front and on the back of the packaging it said made in Taiwan...........I laught so hard showing it to the staff in the store and making jokes that my eyes where watering......They couldn't say shit, they just wanted me out of there because I was telling every customer to have a look at this..........and as this store sells jap bikes tooo! Yes, jap bikes! I was saying they got the parts mixed up out the back and you may want to check where those choppers are made..   I had a good chat out front to a biker that I showed the parts to in the store, he was soo shocked he said he just thought it would be made in the U.S.A. Now I know what's made where because thats my business to know what, where and how. And the fact is like this bloke, we put to much trust into companys!

When I was a kid (in the olden days lol) in the seventies we understood what quality meant. We simply didn't have the cheap imported rubbish around because no one would buy it. Now days we just don't have standards anymore and we look at the monetary value of everything, but we don't look properly.

Cheap = Problems.   Its OK, your a grown up now so you can make a choice. The problem is people tend to choose cheap over quality. My dad always said when he was give the choice at a store between the cheap rubbish and the quality item. "where to poor to buy cheap!" And would get the quality item.... as a kid I didn't understand it...if we where poor why was Dad buying the expensive item.  So like all kids I asked him why? He said that if you buy a quality item you only have to buy it once and you will have it for life!  Cheap rubbish may not even get the job done before it fails. Made sense to me at 4 yrs old. And at 15yrs old when I started my Apprenticeship I applied this method to my tools. Now a 100 yrs on lol I still have all the tools and yes they are still in perfect condition. You may say I haven't used them but contra to your belief, in fact I have ABUSED them and do most days. OK so what does it all mean? It means buy a good one once, mass production with out quality means you get rubbish. Why, because most of these country's use unskilled labour in there factory's and they don't care they just do a days work too get home, after all they all hate the boss. He's that prick that pays them lol. In Todays world thats how it is .....very few people are happy at work...its just there job!  And this makes our standards low for what we exspect!..........................

So buy Quality don't buy CRAP. If you knew how much they make on you when you buy imported parts it would shock you. He's an example for you. I was approached buy a very very large worldwide manufacturing organization who wanted to make some of my parts under license.........Now they had a profit margin around 600% yes 600% and they showed me how in mass production things made in china can cost points of cents! Yes they where buying things for under a cent each and charging you a buck or two for them. I was shocked because they wanted to make so much money selling rubbish made in china and offered me a few points of a cent each one of my products they made.................Well I'm a redhead and I was steaming to say the least.........I let fly and went nuts......they threaten me with the police so I packed up and left their meeting. The cheeky bastards! Thats why they are so big because they rip you off.....They trade under a huge name that people think is quality but in fact its rubbish. So the next time you buy anything think of what your purchase will do to the market place of tomorrow because look where it's got us all so far.....Things don't last anymore and this is all our fault because we make the market by what we will or will not purchase. So buy smart and help fix up our world because all the shit we buy becomes rubbish when it's stuffed and this planets full.....of..... rubbish.

Lets all stop the rubbish and buy a quality product once!
